BALTIMORE, MD (August 19, 2025) – Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU), Florida’s third largest credit union with nearly 70 locations and $9 billion in assets, has signed a lease with Continental Realty Corporation for 5,158 square feet of space at Waterford Park in East Orlando, Florida. SCCU will backfill the former Truist Bank space, which closed following the merger of BB&T and SunTrust banks, and intends to initiate operations at the center, located at 12301 Lake Underhill Road, next month. CRC’s Kelsi Bozel Holman, Senior Leasing Manager, Commercial for CRC, and Garrett Gleiter with 4 ACRE Commercial Real Estate represented the landlord, and Brian Lightle with Lightle Beckner Robison represented the tenant in this transaction.

The lease continues SCCU’s momentum from 2024, following multiple branch relocations and openings across Brevard and Broward counties.  The expansion will also support SCCU’s existing and growing base of more than 19,000 members in Orlando, enhancing access to convenient in-person banking experiences. State chartered with headquarters in Melbourne, Florida, SCCU serves more than 650,000 members across its footprint with a range of loan, and checking and savings products.

“Our new Waterford branch strengthens our commitment to serving members where they live and work,” said Gary Prager, Chief Strategy & Growth Officer of Space Coast Credit Union. “This location along with our upcoming Avalon Park location makes it easier for our 19,000 Orlando members, and those yet to join us, to access the trusted products and personal service they expect from their Financial Watchdog.”

Located at the intersection of North Alafaya Trail and Lake Underhill Road, Waterford Park is a two-story project comprised of a mix of commercial office, medical, and retail space. Existing tenants include Bonefish Grill, Orangetheory Fitness, Keller Williams, Salon Lofts, The miniER Urgent Care Center, and Prime IV.

“This lease culminates our efforts to replace the former financial institution at Waterford Park, which closed due to a corporate merger and the subsequent consolidation of locations,” said Kristina O’Keefe, Vice President of CRC’s Commercial Division. “The addition of a bank to our tenant mix provides another level of convenience for our current retail and office tenants, as well as for the surrounding community. Attracting a locally-owned credit union, especially one with a strong brand and positive name recognition, is an added plus.”

Waterford Park is located four miles from the University of Central Florida and five miles from Florida Hospital East Orlando.

Headquartered in Baltimore and founded in 1960, Continental Realty Corporation is a full-service commercial real estate and investment company focused on acquiring and operating retail and multifamily properties. The privately held firm owns and manages a diversified portfolio of retail centers consisting of over eight million square feet of commercial space and more than 10,000 apartment homes across 14 states, with a portfolio valued at nearly $4.2 billion.
