Senior Helpers Selects Arnold Station For First Location Serving Greater Anne Arundel County Market
BALTIMORE, MD (December 17, 2025) – Senior Helpers®, the nation’s premier provider of in-home care services for seniors, has selected Arnold Station as the site for the franchise’s first location serving the greater Anne Arundel County market. Franchise owner Jim Thomasson signed a lease with Continental Realty Corporation (CRC) for 1,254 square feet of space with intentions to begin operations at the 60,165-square-foot shopping center located at 1450 Ritchie Highway in Q2 2026. Roseanne Holmes, Leasing Associate, Retail Leasing for CRC represented the landlord in this transaction.
Senior Helpers brings an essential and highly valued service to Arnold Station, offering meaningful support to local families and residents,” stated Kristina O’Keefe, Senior Vice President, Retail Operations for CRC. “Their focus on personalized, high-quality care strengthens the center’s mix and enhances the everyday convenience our community relies on. We are pleased to welcome a tenant whose mission so directly aligns with our commitment to creating accessible, service-oriented environments.”
Senior Helpers delivers professional, compassionate non-medical in-home care designed to promote independence and enhance quality of life. Caregivers assist with daily living and household tasks, including light housekeeping, transportation, companionship, and support with meal preparation, bathing, and dressing.
In addition to its core services, Senior Helpers offers specialized care programs tailored for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, Parkinson’s disease, those recovering from surgery, and clients requiring end-of-life support. These services not only help seniors remain safely at home but also reduce stress and provide peace of mind for family members.
“People are most comfortable living in their own homes and, despite facing physical and mental challenges, many choose to remain in a familiar environment and one that suits their lifestyle,” explained Jim Thomasson. “Senior Helpers provides custom-designed programs that helps fill in gaps in care in timelines that range from daily visitations, to around the clock assistance, or regular check-ins. The Arnold Station location will be outfitted with a Center of Excellence, where our support staff will be trained on our best-in-class care protocols, while also serving as our Anne Arundel County base of operations. We chose the shopping center based on its central location in an area with strong demographics and a robust population.”
Positioned at the intersection of MD Route 2 (Governor Ritchie Highway) and Arnold Road, Arnold Station is a two-story development featuring restaurants, retailers, and office tenants, including McDonald’s, Verizon Wireless, Leslie’s Pool Supplies Service & Repair, Pivot Physical Therapy, School of Rock, and Heartland Dental. The center offers a free surface parking lot with 185 spaces, serves nearly 125,000 residents within a five-mile radius, and sees close to 60,000 vehicles pass daily.
Nearly 125,000 people, including nearly 45,000 households, reside within a five-mile radius of Arnold Station with an average household income approaching $120,000.
