Owners of HobNob Kitchen & Bar Select Gateway of Naples for Site of New Restaurant Concept
Midtown Kitchen & Bar restaurant expected to open this spring
NAPLES, FL (February 23, 2016) – Local restaurateurs Michael and Lisa Hernandez, owners of the HobNob Kitchen & Bar in Naples, have selected Gateway of Naples as the site of their newest restaurant concept called Midtown Kitchen & Bar, with a planned spring 2016 opening. Owned and managed by Continental Realty Corporation (CRC), Gateway of Naples is a 65,000 square foot shopping center located on 2100 Tamiami Trail North in Naples, Florida.
Since the late 1980s, Michael Hernandez has operated restaurants in the southwest Florida marketplace including Bistro 821, The Mad Hatter in Sanibel, Michael’s Café and Zoe’s. The new Midtown Kitchen restaurant will occupy the former TGI Friday space.
“We detected a need for a fun, neighborhood restaurant with a great nightlife scene,” explained Michael Hernandez. “Midtown is geared towards Naples consumers that don’t wish to drive five miles each way to visit the waterfront restaurants. They will have everything right in their backyard. We are incorporating creative American cuisine, with an Italian inspiration, that is a little bit more casual than HobNob, but with a larger bar area.
