Ari Abramson, Vice President, Acquisitions recently moderated a panel at the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM) annual Acquisitions and Disposition conference in Chicago. The theme of the roundtable discussion was “sourcing and underwriting deal flow in the current environment.”
NARIEM is an exclusive organization of 100 real estate investment management firms with members ranging from the largest institutional firms in the world with fully integrated service platforms to specialized entrepreneurial firms. NAREIM provides the organizational platform, programs, information and tools to help real estate investment managers to establish important relationships with fellow industry leaders, benchmark their companies relative to their peers, and maximize their understanding of what is happening in their industry.
Joining Abramson as leader of the conversation was Zoe Hughes, CEO of NARIEM.
“This annual summit gathers together industry peers to discuss best practices, status of the marketplace and an educated outlook of the acquisitions space nationally and across all asset classes,” Abramson explained. “The roundtable reviewed the acquisition process, delved into strategies for success and examined emerging risks and opportunities in multifamily, retail, office, industrial and hospitality asset classes for the coming year.
“We successfully shared peer-level strategic insights with the group to understand how to remain cutting-edge with technology, remain efficient and scale our practices for the most optimal results,” he added. “Our participation and leadership role in this conference demonstrates our involvement among the top investment managers in the country and helps validate our corporate approach to acquisitions,” he added.
