CRC Selects Matthew Johnson As VP of Asset Management
Continental Realty Corporation, a Baltimore-based commercial real estate investment and management company, has selected Matthew Johnson to the newly-created position of Vice President of Asset Management. He previously spent the past five years working in asset management for Alex. Brown Realty.
In his new role, Mr. Johnson will oversee the complete Asset Management function of the company, with special emphasis on managing the extensive capital improvement program that is currently being executed at various properties. He will also interact with each division of the company to devise and implement business intelligence reporting protocols, provide on-going analytical support, and develop strategies to maximize overall efficiency and effectiveness of the asset management unit.
Johnson brings more than twelve years of real estate experience to Continental Realty Corporation. In addition to Alex. Brown Realty, he also held positions with M&T Bank in the Commercial Real Estate Finance division, as well as with Obrecht Commercial Real Estate. Johnson also spent five years with the United States Navy.
“Adding Matthew to our management team represents an extremely strategic and timely hiring given the velocity of capital improvements we are currently executing, and the need for an experienced professional to maintain oversight of this important program,” stated Gene Parker, President of Continental Realty Corporation. “He brings a strong track record of success in managing large real estate portfolios, and we expect him to be a significant contributor to on-going initiatives designed to improve the long-term value of our assets.”
