Back Nine Golf Franchise Owners Select Robinson Crossing In Severna Park For Next Facility Site
BALTIMORE, MD (September 29, 2026) – Back Nine Golf franchise owners Evan and Patrick Lipinski have selected Robinson Crossing as the site for the indoor golf simulator concept’s newest location in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The entrepreneurs signed a lease with Continental Realty Corporation (CRC) for 2,900 square feet of space at the 115,000 square foot neighborhood shopping center located at 550 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park, and expect to open by the end of this year. Paul Weinberg, Senior Leasing Associate, Retail for CRC, together with Rosso Commercial’s John Rosso and Ryan Brassel represented the landlord, and Morrow Hill’s Taylor Lovitt represented the tenant in this lease transaction.
“Back Nine Golf adds a new recreational experience to Robinson Crossing, making the game more accessible by giving golfers a convenient place to practice, play famous courses and connect year-round, regardless of the weather, season or time of day,” said Kristina O’Keefe, Senior Vice President of Retail Operations for Continental Realty Corporation. “The concept broadens the center’s mix beyond traditional retail and services while giving the Severna Park community another reason to visit the property. Attracting concepts like Back Nine Golf reflects CRC’s focus on introducing relevant new uses that respond to how people want to spend their time and contribute to the continued strength and long-term growth of Robinson Crossing.”
Patrick Lipinski is also the owner of a Back Nine Golf franchise in Towson, which opened early this year, and he expects to expand further within the Baltimore metropolitan region. He says the concept utilizes, “cutting edge Full Swing Simulators which provide golfers with real-time feedback on the user’s swing, ball speed, launch angle and other data points.” Participants can challenge themselves by playing a simulation game on nearly any golf course in the world, spend time perfecting their swings, or participate in leagues and tournaments. Professional Golf Association professionals will be available for lessons, and Back Nine Golf utilizes technology replicating the setups used in The Golf League, which was founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlory. The facility will be open 24 hours a day and seven days per week.
“Like many young people, I struggle to find time to play a four- to five- hour round of golf due to family and work commitments, so pivoted to trying golf simulators where I can get a round of 18 in under one hour,” Lipinski explained. “I really enjoyed the experience, believed the model is on the cusp of expansion, and pursued this as a business idea. Back Nine Golf especially appealed to me because only a few employees are needed to run the operation, which keeps expenses low.
“Robinson Crossing emerged as the ideal shopping center due to the presence of young families, and golfers, and Evan and I were extremely familiar with the Severna Park area. The center satisfied every requirement we were looking for including prime roadside visibility, nearby golf courses and above-average demographics.”
Robinson Crossing is located at the signalized intersection of Governor Ritchie Highway (MD Route 2) and Robinson Road. The tenant mix is comprised of approximately 20 national and locally-owned retailers, restaurants, and service providers including ALDI, Celebree School, Dollar Tree, Harbor Freight, and Mattress Firm. More than 450,000 consumers, including nearly 170,000 households with an average household income approaching $130,000, reside within a 10-mile radius of the center. Nearly 60,000 vehicles pass the center via Governor Ritchie Highway daily.
