Gayton Foot & Back Center, Point & Flex Pilates Fitness, And Skinfluence Face And Body Sign Leases At Gayton Crossing

RICHMOND, VA (August 7, 2025) – Gayton Foot & Back Center, Point & Flex Pilates Fitness and Skinfluence Face and Body have signed leases at Gayton Crossing, bringing three new beauty, health and fitness-related concepts to the 160,000 square foot shopping center located at 9782 Gayton Road in Richmond’s West End area. The center is owned and managed by Continental Realty Corporation (CRC), a Baltimore-based real estate investment and management company, which acquired the asset last year, marking the company’s entry into the Richmond-area retail market. Kristin Perry, Leasing Manager, Commercial for CRC, and SL Nusbaum represented the landlord in all three lease transactions.
Gayton Foot & Back Center
After previously operating in Chesterfield, owner Wendy Wang recently opened Gayton Foot & Back Center. With more than 13 years of experience as a licensed massage therapist, the concept specializes in traditional foot and back massage therapy. Wang intends to use elements of traditional Chinese and western styles, along with reflexology to provide a holistic approach to massage.
“Gayton Crossing is an ideal location for our practice given its quiet and peaceful location, combined with a strong flow of customers,” Wang said. “In addition, there is a complementary blend of high-quality specialty shops along with known brands.”

Point & Flex Pilates Fitness
Laura Mae Harper plans to open her new Pilates studio at Gayton Crossing this fall. The concept will offer small-group and instructor-led classes in a boutique setting designed to blend traditional Pilates with athletic performance. Point & Flex was built from the inside out with a mission to challenge the status quo of both big-box and overly expensive studios.
Point & Flex Pilates Fitness will feature eight tower reformers to ensure every client receives individualized cues and corrections while still benefitting from the motivational pace of a class setting. Harper operated Healing Hands Massage and Bodywork in Short Pump and is merging those services into the new location. “I realized I love Pilates as much as I love giving massages, so this represents a career pivot, but Point & Flex allows me to remain in the wellness category,” she said.
Harper explained that the boutique-style exterior appearance first caught her attention, and the shopping center’s central location in Richmond helped seal the deal. “I knew I wanted to offer services that differentiated me from other similar concepts and, naturally, I gravitated to a retail environment that was also different. This space and, in this location, provides me with every resource I need to be successful.”

Skinfluence Face and Body
According to owner Sherri Smith, Skinfluence Face & Body is a pioneer in non-surgical skin rejuvenation modalities, including RF microneedling, lasers, chemical peels, tailored facials, and medical-grade skincare products which specializes in revitalizing appearances without the need for invasive procedures.
With more than 30 years of experience in nursing, blending surgical, medical, and skincare expertise, Smith explains that “she is passionate about helping clients achieve radiant and youthful skin” while adding, “my journey began with a desire to bridge the gap between clinical precision and personalized care, leading to the creation of Skinfluence Face & Body Medical Spa.
“We are excited to announce the grand opening of our new location in fall 2025,” stated Smith. “After three successful years in business, we are expanding to better serve our valued customers. Please join us at our new location and experience the same great service and quality that you have come to expect from us.”
