Former National Football League Player Relocating Physical Therapy And Chiropractic Care Practice In Fayetteville

Banks Crossing

BALTIMORE, MD (September 24, 2025) – After delivering and absorbing constant physical impact while playing for eight teams in the National Football League, Andrew Adams understands the value of injury recovery and professional care. Adams, together with his father and mentor, Aaron Adams, have leveraged that knowledge with the operation of two ProLevel Recovery locations in Duluth and Fayetteville, Georgia. Adams signed a lease with Continental Realty Corporation (CRC) for 2,250 square feet of space at Banks Crossing with intentions to relocate the practice’s existing Fayetteville location this fall. Banks Crossing is a 255,000 square foot regional shopping center located at 100-240 Banks Crossing North in Fayette County. CRC Leasing Manager Melissa Sweeney and Michael Arkin of Skyline Seven Real Estate represented the landlord in this lease transaction. The tenant was represented by Travis Bryenton of KW Commercial.

“There were many instances after an intense practice or game in which my body felt almost numb from the physical contact and I headed straight for the trainer’s table for care,” explained Adams, who played on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Super Bowl-winning team during the 2020 season. “Professional athletes have access to some of the best doctors and therapists in the profession, but the average citizen does not, and that formed the impetus for ProLevel Recovery.”

Growing up watching his father operate a physical therapist practice

Adams comes from a football family: his father played offensive line in college, his uncle Sam Adams and cousin Sam Adams, Jr. had long NFL careers, former Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte is another cousin, and NFL tight end Alec Ogletree is his brother-in-law. Adams’ career almost ended before it started after a severe high school back injury and lumbar fusion surgery, doctors told him should never play football again.

Through constant rehabilitation guided by his father, Adams returned to the field and starred as a high school quarterback and safety. He initially accepted a baseball scholarship to Furman University before transferring to the University of Connecticut to play football. That choice proved to be a wise one, as the undrafted player started 14 games during his rookie season with the New York Giants.

“My father has remained the most influential person in my life as I watched him treat patients during his 30-year physical therapy career that included nurturing me back to health,” Adams said. “My mission is to significantly expand what he started, scale operations with new locations and offer a highly distinctive concept that provides immediate and long-term benefits to patients.”

Placing multiple modalities under one roof

“As a professional athlete, I was constantly in the training room and it becomes part of your daily lifestyle,” Adams explained. “Following my career, I found myself driving all around the Atlanta area visiting various specialists for massage therapy, dry needling, and chiropractic care and I thought there must be a better way. That is why we placed many different modalities under one roof to offer convenience to our patients, and also to monitor the care they were receiving.”

ProLevel Recovery offers a range of modalities including physical therapy, rehabilitation services, and contrast therapy, which exposes patients to extreme cold (cryotherapy chambers) and extreme hot (infrared sauna) temperatures to reduce inflammation. Other treatments include chiropractic care, laser therapy, dry needling, cupping, red light beds, stretching exercises, and IV therapy. The treatments are designed to aid in the healing of personal and sport-related injuries, address shoulder, joint, foot, ankle and hip pain, relieve sciatica, improve balance and mobility issues. The expanded Banks Crossing location introduces new services, including red light therapy, cryotherapy and massage therapy. The facility features dedicated areas for treadmills and other aerobic equipment, private rehabilitation suites, and an open gym floor providing patients with a versatile environment to support recovery and overall wellness.

Adams explains that ProLevel Recovery’s approach to physical therapy is rooted in combining cutting-edge techniques with the knowledge and experience of a professional athlete. “Our team focuses on personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique physical condition, with an emphasis on injury prevention, rapid recovery and peak performance,” he said.

Adams also understands the importance of giving back to the local community, particularly through programs that support youth. “Young people are highly impressionable and I am passionate about keeping them on the right path and building a strong foundation for their future. That is why we will sponsor financial literacy programs and other efforts to help build the local ecosystem,” he said.

With a goal of expanding ProLevel Recovery through the acquisition of other chiropractic practices, Adams sees Banks Crossing as an important building-block move for the group.

“The high-visibility and strategic location of Banks Crossing first caught our attention, and we are impressed with the extremely strong foot traffic and presence of major retailers and food options,” he said. “The center has every element needed for our success.”

Developed in 1987 and renovated in 2013, Banks Crossing spans approximately 23 acres near the intersection of GA routes 85 and 314. Anchored by Kroger and JCPenney, the shopping center features nearly 30 tenant spaces, including national retailers Sally Beauty, Guitar Center, and Planet Fitness.

The property is located directly off Highway 85 with multiple access points attracting over 53,000 vehicles daily. Banks Crossing sits approximately 20 miles from the greater Atlanta area with more than 67,000 consumers averaging over $72,000 in household income residing within a three-mile radius.

“ProLevel Recovery brings a proven, results-driven healthcare model to Banks Crossing, meeting the growing demand for accessible wellness services,” said Kristina O’Keefe, Vice President of CRC’s Commercial Division. “Their presence enhances the center’s tenant mix and adds a valuable service for residents in the surrounding suburban communities. ProLevel Recovery aligns with our mission to provide meaningful and convenient experiences for customers in the Fayetteville area.”
