Businesswoman Chooses Park Plaza For Second GLO30 Franchise In Anne Arundel County, MD Marketplace

Park Plaza

BALTIMORE, MD (July 22, 2025) – Ashley Glendening, while living in the Washington, D.C. area and working in the tech sales industry for approximately 11 years, discovered a burgeoning skincare brand focusing on seasonally-adapted treatments and became a regular customer. When she and her husband relocated to Annapolis, Maryland, among the things she missed most was her monthly treatments at GLO30. Failing in her search to uncover a similar concept in the immediate area that combined value-pricing with high-quality and personalized care, she did the next best thing – decided to invest and become an owner in GLO30 which had now become a franchise. With a commitment to open three franchises in Anne Arundel County, Glendening placed the first location near her home in Annapolis Harbour Center.

Glendening’ success empowered her to proceed with a second franchise site, and she recently signed a lease with Continental Realty Corporation for space within Park Plaza, a nearly 185,000 square foot shopping center located at 550 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. Dominique Threatt, Senior Commercial Leasing Associate of CRC represented the landlord, and Kelly Silverman of CBRE, LLC represented the tenant in this transaction.

Anchored by MOM’s Organic Market, Planet Fitness, and Five Below, Park Plaza features 55 tenants, including restaurants, medical offices, professional services, financial services, sports and fitness retailers.

“The first thing I loved about GLO30 is that the concept makes professional skin care affordable, accessible and approachable,” Glendening explained. “Consumers can become easily overwhelmed by the different service options available to them at typical medical spas, often having price tags in the thousands of dollars. But GLO30 simplifies the choices and creates memberships that meet the consumer where they are most comfortable and focus on three simple goals – tone, texture, and tightness.”

“Treatments begin by incorporating technology to power data-driven results with GLOria, our AI powered skin analysis tool,” she added. “Providers use this information to customize our SmartGLO protocol, which are all-inclusive facials that change monthly based on environmental factors,” she continued. Members receive a treatment every month because skin cells turn over every 30 days and we want to treat the new cells as they come to the surface to optimize GLO. Our members have seen amazing results with regular monthly maintenance and our price point of $99 a month for a 50-minute facial cannot be beat.”

Glo30 is family-owned, was founded by Dr. Arleen Lamba and now operates locations in 12 states including the District of Columbia. Additional sites in Maryland operate in Bethesda and Columbia. Glendening’s location was the fourth to open nationally.

Standard services include facials, wrinkle relaxers and laser treatments, as well GLO30’s proprietary NanoGlo Filler Microfusion which is used to eliminate dark circles under the eyes, minimize the appearance of pores, and give skin an airbrushed appearance.

“Treatments vary based on seasons of the year,” Glendening added. “For instances, during the springtime, this section of the country is dealing with lots of pollutants, so the facial treatments are customized to incorporate seasonal ingredients that address this issue. The same can be said for the winter when we are combating zero humidity and dry skin conditions. In essence, no skin care treatment is exactly the same.”

Glendening estimate that approximately 10 to 15 percent of her clientele in the Annapolis store are male, with the number rising to 30 percent in the location she regularly visited in Washington, D.C. “Men are more cognizant of their skin and are investing in these types of services including Botox. I expect this trend to continue.”

She added that GLO30 was among the first brand in its category to offer memberships, a business decision that resonated with her because it generated recurring revenue. Her past experience in the tech industry helped her realize that recurring revenue is a strong indicator and helps predict the long-term health of a business.

When choosing the Severna Park site, Glendening made certain she was “balancing out” her store footprint in Anne Arundel County but gravitated towards Park Plaza due to its excellent highway access and the tenant mix, including MOM’s Organic Market, which recently opened. We are only three doors down from MOM’s, and I could easily see us fitting into the lifestyle of area consumers. I envision people visiting our store, completing some grocery food shopping at MOM’s and then continuing with their day.”

“We are thrilled to welcome GLO30 to Park Plaza as an exciting new addition to our tenant mix,” said Kristina O’Keefe, Vice President of the Commercial Division at Continental Realty Corporation. “Ashley’s commitment to bringing a high-quality, innovative skincare concept to Severna Park aligns perfectly with our vision of creating a dynamic shopping center that offers diverse and complementary services to the community.”

Headquartered in Baltimore and founded in 1960, Continental Realty Corporation is a full-service commercial real estate and investment company focused on acquiring and operating retail and multifamily properties. The privately held firm owns and manages a diversified portfolio of retail centers consisting of over eight million square feet of commercial space and more than 10,000 apartment homes across 14 states, with a portfolio valued at nearly $4.2 billion.
