BALTIMORE, MD (March 31, 2025) – Youth-based developmental soccer program Soccer Pups has selected North Bridges Shopping Center as the site for its inaugural location in the greater Atlanta area with a targeted opening in late April. Owners Tim Medina and Noel Rubert signed a lease with Continental Realty Corporation (CRC) for 3,600 square feet of space at the nearly 107,000 square foot neighborhood shopping center located at the intersection of Jones Bridge Road and State Bridge Road. CRC’s Commercial Leasing Manager, Melissa Sweeney represented the landlord, and Skyline Seven Real Estate and Dudley Thomas Space SRE, LLC represented the tenant in this transaction.

Soccer Pups started operations in 2023 and currently operates four locations in the Texas area with five additional sites in the development phase. The mission of the company is to introduce the game of soccer to young people while also developing their social and small motor skills, teaching teamwork principles, and providing a safe environment that provides a venue to form and develop relationships with their peer group.

Sessions for youngsters aged three to six participate in Academy skills training and compete in 4 on 4 leagues. The next group, reserved for 6 to nine-year-olds, have the opportunity to take their soccer skills to the next level through the Soccer Pups Academy. The concept incorporates the use of innovative games, exercises, and a nurturing environment to advance its mission. The Academy schedule lasts one-hour and is run for eight consecutive weeks.

“We initially targeted the greater Atlanta region due to the decision of the U.S. men’s national soccer team to establish its headquarters and training center in this region,” explained Medina. “We believe its presence locally will further accelerate the popularity of youth soccer which is already growing exponentially. In addition, one of our corporate investors resides in Atlanta and there is tremendous synergy with this move. North Bridges Shopping Center emerged as the ideal placement for our inaugural location due to its high-visibility, large volume of families with young children, and tremendous access to an expanded radius.”

North Bridges Shopping Center is anchored by Goodwill and ALDI and features nearing 20 retailers and a mix of sit-down, quick-service and fast-casual restaurants. The center is shadow-anchored by Pep Boys and is now 100 percent leased.

More than 54,000 vehicles pass North Bridges Shopping Center daily.  Nearly 200,000 people reside within a five-mile radius of the center, including more than 72,000 households with an average household income exceeding $130,000.

Youth-oriented retail concepts bring a dynamic energy to shopping centers, drawing in distinct visitors, particularly during evenings and weekends, which enhances the overall tenant mix,” said Kristina O’Keefe, Vice President of the Commercial Division at CRC. “The Soccer Pups ownership group has strong plans for expansion and selected North Bridges Shopping Center as the ideal location for their debut in the Atlanta market, thanks to its prime proximity to vibrant neighborhoods. This addition is a key step in our ongoing mission to bring in fresh, community-focused tenants to the center.
