Priority Care Opens at Park Plaza in Severna Park, Representing Company’s Third Facility in Baltimore Area

Park Plaza - Severna Park, MD

Urgent and primary care facility also operates two locations in Baltimore area

Priority Care, an urgent and primary care facility with locations in Canton and Halethorpe, has opened a new location signed within Park Plaza, a 186,000 square foot neighborhood shopping center located in the Severna Park section of Anne Arundel County. The center is owned and managed by Continental Realty Corporation. Melissa Sweeney of Continental Realty Corporation represented the landlord and Alan Grace of CBRE represented the tenant in this transaction.

Priority Care offers medical services including injury treatment, wound care, x-ray services, laboratory and blood services, as well as treatment for sports-related injuries and allergic reactions. The center is also suitable for physicals, occupational medicine, and primary care treatments.

“We were immediately drawn to the high traffic counts on Ritchie Highway, as well as our location within the center that provides excellent visibility from this major roadway,” explained Bill Link, Operations Director for Priority Care. “Medicine has changed. Priority Care has also changed with the times. We differentiate ourselves from the competition by providing the highest level of service, performed by a staff of medical providers with emergency room experience. We also have an orthopedic doctor and eight examination rooms. There is usually little to no wait time.”

Park Plaza is situated on 562 Governor Ritchie Highway (MD Route 2) and features national tenants such as JoAnn Fabrics, Dress Barn, Five Below, Edward Jones, and Noodles & Company. More than 45,000 vehicles pass the site on a daily basis, and more than 46,000 people reside within a three-mile radius of the project, with an average household income exceeding $130,000.

“Urgent care facilities offer an alternative to hospital emergency room visits and, by offering convenient, reliable and consistent medical treatments, are increasing in popularity among the general public,”stated David Donato, Senior Vice President – Commercial Division of Continental Realty Corporation. “We consider this an excellent use for neighborhood shopping centers as it drives unique visitors to the project and functions as a destination tenant. We are extremely impressed with this concept and the operators and believe this use adds significant value to Park Plaza.”
